Yesterday was Valentines Day for a whole lot of people but as for us Football fans, it was a night to remember as the biggest match of the night was between Real Madrid and PSG in the UEFA champions league.

PSG came out roaring with the most expensive player this season (Neymar) leading the squad but Real Madrid showed some real class as to why they are champions.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Real Madrid came from a goal down to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Adrien Rabiot’s away goal had put the Ligue 1 leaders in front in the Champions League last-16 tie, but Ronaldo’s double and Marcelo’s late strike gave the home side the victory.

Liverpool on the order-hand has a foot or better still have both feets in the next round of the UEFA Champions League as they destroyed any bit of hope for Fc Porto with a 5 – 0 trashing last light.

Sadio Mane struck a superb hat-trick as Liverpool put one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Porto on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are the top scorers in this season’s competition and they showed all of their attacking prowess as Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino put the tie to bed before the second leg at Anfield.

On Tuesday, Tottenham Hotspur should Juventus that they are not push-overs with an electric display from both Dembele and Dele Ali.

They both dominated the midfield as Juventus could not handle them but were able to salvage a draw.

Tottenham came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Juventus in Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 first-leg clash in Turin.

An early double from Gonzalo Higuain appeared to have set the Serie A champions up for a comfortable victory, before Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen gave Spurs a slight advantage to take back to Wembley with two away goals.

Man City, as usual, bossed the whole match and were just too good for Basel to hand.

Manchester City took a giant step towards the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 4-0 thrashing of Basel at St Jakob-Park.

Pep Guardiola’s side tore Leicester City to pieces 5-1 in the Premier League at the weekend and resumed in similarly menacing mood against the Swiss champions.

So far this season the Cleveland Cavaliers have not been as awesome as they were last season despite all the big names which their team has compiled.

The Warriors on the order hand have been great but not too great as they lost to the Portland Trail Blazers a few hours ago.
