Nigerians who made us proud in the month of June

Nigerians are one of the most brilliant individuals in the world. So it is not strange to find Nigerians doing great stuff. This month we bring you Nigerians who made us proud in the month of June.

Wizkid walks the runway for Dolce and Gabbana

It is not a coincidence that the first African artist to walk the runway at a Dolce and Gabbana fashion show is Wizkid. Add that to the fact that he walked to his single, Soco. This is a good sign for Africa, we seemingly making waves across all quarters. Wizkid over the years has created a brand for himself as a musician with a class. In one of the earliest tracks, he prophesied that he would be sitting with Dolce and Gabbana and it came through.

Ahmed Musa scores twice to keep us in the World Cup

Ahmed Musa gave Nigeria its first win at the World Cup 2018. Ahmed Musa scored a brace when it seemed impossible. Nigeria lost its first game to Croatia and a loss to Iceland would have meant a disqualification. Ahmed Musa brought joy to over 200 million Nigerians on the surface of the earth. I hope Ahmed Musa can get the team to beat Argentina in the coming days.

Davido records a new song with DJ Khaled

American superstar DJ and music producer, DJ Khaled met with Nigerian Afro-pop superstar Davido in LA recently. Davido recorded a new track in Khaled’s house. African music is beginning to cut through different races. DJ Khaled said, ” I have been hearing all that has been going in the African music scene and I will be flying down soon”. This a welcome development to African music and a testimony that the music industry is definitely doing something right. Nigerian music especially is been played everywhere in the world.

I am certainly sure these people are not the only one making us proud this month of June. So many of you out there are doing great stuff, I hope to get to you soon. Feel free to drop a comment.
