Sports Wrap-up: Les Blues too good for Golden Generation

France edged out Belgium with a single goal in the second half of the game from Samuel Umtiti on Tuesday night from a corner kick.

The Belgian team had most of the possession and more accuracy in their passes but none of that proved to have any major damage to France as they scaled through.

Descamps was full of praises for Kylian Mbappé as he was everywhere on the field of play causing problems for Belgium.

Les Blues will be looking to win their third world cup trophy since France 98′ and will also be looking to avenge their loss in the Euro’s Final.

We would not be hearing “Hala Madrid” on the lips of many Madrid fans as C.Ronaldo ports to Juventus after so much speculation.

Ronaldo is said to have agreed on a four-year contract that will see him pocket €30 million (£26.5m/$35m) per season and Madrid have since confirmed that they have allowed him to make the move to Turin in a transfer that will cost €100m (£88m/$117m) plus €12m (£10.5/$14m) in additional charges.

The 33 year old had already indicated after the champions league final that he would be switching to a different club.

During his nine-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, Ronaldo won 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles and two Copa del Rey crowns. Not to forget that he is also a five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

He will be looking to leave his print in Juventus as he did while at Madrid.
