Sports Wrap-up: Team Nigeria returns with 24 medals

Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018

Nigeria Ended their campaign at the just concluded commonwealth games in Australia with nine golds, nine silvers and six bronze medals to place ninth on the log behind Australia, England, India, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Wales and Scotland.

Nigeria’s medal haul at the 2018 Commonwealth Games did not match up to the total of 26 medals won at the 2014 edition which included 11 Gold medals, 11 Silver Medals, and 14 bronze medals.


CAF Confederations Cup

This year’s edition has proven not to be any different from previous years because the Nigerian teams have once again failed to live up to expectations

3 of the 4 Nigerian teams to qualify, have all crashed out of the competition leaving only Eyimba FC as the only surviving Nigerian team.

Premier League

Manchester United played their outstanding against Bournemouth and came out tops to retain their spot as second position on the table.

It is no longer News that Manchester City have been crowned champions of the English Premier League in grand style having 4 games to play before this season officially ends.


The regular season has ended in the NBA while the top 8 teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences have been drawn in pairs of two’s to face eachother in the Playoffs.
