Life is a Game, Come Learn how to Play
LIFE IS LIKE A GAME OF CHESS. IF YOU LOSE YOUR QUEEN, YOU MIGHT LOSE THE GAME.
In the game of chess, the Queen is the most powerful and essential piece to win. When it comes to the game life is, the queen is your hope, trust, and faith. Without her, the odds will never be in your favour.
That is not to say you wouldn’t feel the pressure during difficult times. Like every other game, we are going to win some and lose some. But remember, each loss will teach you how to win, if only you pay attention. And as long as your Queen is protected, and learn how to use her, you’re unstoppable.
Here are the rules of the game;
WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE
You wouldn’t find all the situations you’re in suitable. For instance, when playing cards you don’t always start with useful cards. However, with time you find the value in them and use them as a strength to start challenging your opponent.
To begin, play what you have as best as you can. Be patient, and you’ll be presented with many chances to win – only if you know how to spot them. And if you lose, don’t give up, there’s always a chance for you to bounce back. In games, it’s all about the duration and building moves up bit by bit. In real life that’s your strength – that’s how you will win.
LOOK AT ALL THE POSSIBLE MOVES
Successful people are logical thinkers. Never do anything without thinking it through. Weigh each step and their consequences. You can win a million and one times, only when you know a million and one ways.
A BAD PLAN IS BETTER THAN NO PLAN
A bad plan is better than not having one at all. It is important for you to know what your end goal is, what you’re working towards and how you’re going to get there.
A plan is a blueprint you need, one you can always go back to when something isn’t working right and find out why it isn’t. It will also teach you how to analyze the game, it will open your eyes to most things others won’t see and help you play the game better than anyone else.
PLAY WITH PEOPLE BETTER THAN YOU
Carry yourself with so much confidence that you don’t play yourself low just because someone is doing it better than you can. Remove your focus from people that make you feel lower instead keep your focus on the people you consider the best, watch them and learn from them.
BE MINDFUL OF THE RISKS
Fate favors the brave and those who are courageous enough to challenge it.
There’s nothing wrong with taking risks; it’s said that what we desire is on the other side of fear and risk. However, before taking any risk weigh the pros and cons before jumping at them. Bear in mind that not taking risks at all will cost you more because it means you never took advantage of opportunities.
Resist your fear; fear will never lead you to a positive end – T.D Jakes
